About us

Who’s Behind Mag Stories

Mag Stories began as a small side project between a few friends who kept sending each other articles worth reading. One of us said, half joking, that we should put them all in one place. A few months later, that place turned into this website. It’s still run by a handful of people, and we still read most of what we share before it goes up.

What We Publish

Think of us as a magazine you can pick up in a spare ten minutes. We write and gather pieces about everyday life, culture, interesting people, places, habits, and ideas that make you stop and think. Some pieces are short and light. Others take a little longer, because the story deserves it. You’ll find things such as:

  • Features about people and the things they do.
  • Practical reads for daily life and home.
  • Thoughts on trends, hobbies, and changing times.
  • Quiet, curious stories that don’t fit neatly anywhere else.

How We See It

We don’t chase headlines. There’s enough noise online already, and most of us are tired of it. Our rule is simple: if we wouldn’t send a piece to a friend, we don’t publish it. That means we sometimes post less than other sites, but we’d rather give you something worth your time than something that just fills a page.

Getting Things Right

We’re only human, and mistakes do slip through. When we spot one, or when a reader points one out, we fix it and carry on. We try not to bury corrections or pretend they never happened. If you think something on the site is wrong, tell us. We’d genuinely like to know.

A Note on Independence

Mag Stories is independent and based in the United Kingdom. We aren’t tied to any larger publisher, brand, or organisation. Where we mention other companies, books, or people, it’s because they’re relevant to the story, not because anyone asked us to.

Who It’s For

Anyone. Some of our readers are students on a lunch break, some are retired and have more time to browse, and plenty are simply people who like a good read at the end of the day. You don’t need any special knowledge to enjoy what we write. All you need is a bit of curiosity.

Say Hello

We love hearing from readers. If you’ve got an idea for a story, a question, or a kind word, head over to the Contact Us page and drop us a line. A surprising number of our articles started life as a message from someone just like you.

Thanks for stopping by, and we hope you find something here you’ll enjoy.
